The idea of Three Sands Ranch was first conceived in 2016 as a mere joke, when trying to think of a homestead name. At the time, there were 3 dogs, 3 chickens, 3 horses, and 3 children, our street name was Sandy Road and our last name is Sandoval. It was a dream that we would be able to one day have a horse and cattle ranch. Having a strong Christian faith, the number Three seemed to be calling to us. Now at our 3rd property, we finally are able to put the concept into reality. In scripture the number three conveys the meaning of completeness, this is how Three Sands Ranch was born.
When we first started out in 2021 we had a few Brangus cattle, we quickly discovered this was a wild breed, having a small self-managed ranch made it very hard to work with them. We then started doing some research and came across the British White, a European breed, that is genetically polled. These cattle are known for being easy keepers, have a high feed conversion, and great ribeye values, equal to that of the Angus breed. We then decided to sell off the Brangus and dive into the British White breed. We started with THREE girls and now have a herd of 15 plus.
