The vision for Three Sands Ranch began in 2016—originally as a lighthearted joke while searching for a homestead name. At the time, our lives were full of “threes”: three dogs, three chickens, three horses, and three children. We lived on Sandy Road, and of course, carried the Sandoval name. What started as a playful idea soon became a meaningful dream of building a true horse and cattle ranch. With our strong Christian faith, the symbolism of the number three continued to resonate with us. Now, on our third property, that dream has finally taken shape. In scripture, the number three represents completeness, and it’s from this sense of purpose that Three Sands Ranch was born.
Our journey into ranching began in 2021 with a small group of Brangus cattle. We quickly learned that their spirited nature made them a tough fit for a small, self-managed operation. Our research led us to the British White—a European, naturally polled breed known for their gentle temperament, efficient feed conversion, and impressive ribeye quality comparable to Angus. After transitioning out of Brangus, we fully committed to British Whites, starting with three heifers and growing into a thriving herd of more than fifteen.
Since then, our ranch has expanded to include a quality dairy goat program featuring Nigerian Dwarf and Nubian goats, with the possibility of more breeds in the future. Our goats are not only part of our milk production; they also compete in the show ring and participate in performance testing to ensure their conformation and production meet the highest standards.
At Three Sands Ranch, we are dedicated to continuous improvement—always striving to breed better animals, no matter the species. Our story is rooted in purpose, family, and faith, and we’re proud to share that legacy through the work we do every day.
